Le Hêtre, concentré pur sucre. On extrait de ce bois divers sucres aux propriétés anti-âge. Le rhamnose, obtenu par extraction à l’eau, a montré des résultats semblables à ceux du rétinol, sans l’effet agressif : augmentation de l’épaisseur de l’épiderme, stimulation du renouvellement cellulaire ou encore activation de la synthèse de collagène. Le xylose, lui, est transformé, selon un procédé de chimie verte, en proxylane, actif qui préserve la qualité des fibroblastes et régule la pigmentation.
